Board of Directors

 Marco Broccardo

President

Originally from South Africa, Marco is the founder and Lead Pastor at Hope Rock Church. He and his wife, Catherine, have three children, two of which attend Spicewood Christian Academy. In 1999, Marco was in the grips of addiction, but after giving his life to Jesus in a faith-based treatment center, he was delivered and set free. He says, “The Word teaches us in Romans 8:28 that all things work for our good, and this verse has been so real to me. If I wasn’t an addict, I am not sure I would have ever found Jesus or at least needed Him as desperately as I did.”

Fun Fact: In 2013, Marco was part of a three-man expedition that broke a world record. They were the first men to cross the Empty Quarter (1210km desert in the Arabian Peninsula) unassisted and on foot. The arduous trek took 40 days and 40 nights.

Lisa Clark

Vice President

Lisa is a SCA parent and head of the Parents of Eagles, the volunteer organization at the school. She grew up in Arlington, TX where she attended The Oakridge School. She has a BA in Communications from Wake Forest University, and a Master’s of Art in Radio-TV-Film from the University of Texas. Lisa and her husband, Wade, and son, Ethan, moved from Los Angeles, CA to the Austin area in 2020. Professionally, she is a ghostwriter and TV producer.  Lisa is passionate about providing her son with a Bible-based, Christ-centered education, and the more she sees the results of his deepening faith in Jesus, the more she desires this experience for other families in the area. She is so grateful for the ability to use her gifts and talents to serve the Lord at SCA.

The West family moved from Wisconsin to Texas to support the Broccardos in planting Hope Rock Church, where Timothy serves on the eldership team. Timothy specializes in helping others define their goals and develop strategic plans to achieve them. He is dedicated to creating spaces where people can excel in their callings and reach their full potential.

He currently serves as the school’s Communication Director and provides support with remote administrative tasks. He is eager to see the plans God has for the school, its students, and teachers.
