Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership

  • Integrate biblical truth and Christian values into daily lessons and classroom routines
  • Lead age-appropriate prayer and Bible lessons
  • Model Christ-like character in all interactions with students, parents, and staff
  • Foster a classroom culture rooted in kindness, respect, and integrity

Instruction & Curriculum

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with school standards
  • Teach foundational literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills
  • Incorporate hands-on learning, play-based exploration, and creative activities
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

Classroom Environment

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and organized classroom
  • Maintain positive classroom management using age-appropriate strategies
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback

Family Communication

  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student development and classroom activities
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences
  • Build strong, respectful partnerships with families

Collaboration & Professionalism

  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and school leadership
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events
  • Support school-wide initiatives and activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field (preferred)
  • Teaching certification or licensure (as required by state)
  • Experience teaching in an early childhood setting
  • Strong understanding of child development principles
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A clear testimony of Christian faith and active involvement in a local church

Personal & Spiritual Requirements

  • Agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith
  • Commitment to Christian education and discipleship
  • Ability to model Christian character and maintain a biblical worldview
  • A heart for mentoring young children in both learning and faith
